Biography
I was awarded the Industry, Research and Innovation award of the European Parliament for 2019. My nomination was based on me being a strong proponent of the circular economy and for tackling climate change through innovation. I was re-elected in the 2019 European Elections and I have been appointed member of the Committees on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE), on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI), and on Regional Development (REGI). I serve as the co-chair of the European Parliament’s Delegation for relations with the People’s Republic of China and is a member of the Delegation to the EU-North Macedonia Joint Parliamentary Committee. I have studied Chemistry at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and I am about to complete a MSc in Energy Law, Business, Regulation and Policy at the International Hellenic University. During the last five years I have attended the summer programs of the College of Europe in Bruges with a focus on EU EU Affairs, Effective Negotiations within the EU and the EU Energy Union. I am also a member of the Nea Demokratia Executive Board and from September 2017 until March 2019, I was the spokesperson for Nea Dimokratia.
